Having been brought up in an environment of art & culture, Miss Debashree Das was exposed to the world of music at a young age. Being inspired in music from her grandmother and also from her father Sri Paritosh Das, Debashree began her training at the age of four under Pt. Ratan Natta, an exponent of Farukabad Gharana.In the year 1994, Debasree was initiated into her training in classical & light classical vocal music under Vidushi Sipra Bose belongs to Lucknow Gharana, much known for her attractive style of singing.On the other hand, Debashree was also fortuitous to receive Talim specially in technical as well as the critical aspects of music from Acharya Jayanta Bose who continues to mesmerize audience with his unique Gayaki. Subsequently to quench her thirst of learning pure Classical Vocal Music, Debashree had arrived in the association with none other than Pandit Jasraj, the foremost exponent of Mewati Gharana.

She had received innumerable prizes and honors in various competitions. All along she secured 1st position including in 1991 in Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya Cultural Competition, in 1992 in all Bengal Cultural Competition, in 1994 in Krida Yuva Kalyan Utsav organised by West Bengal Govt, in 1999 in Inter University Cultural Competition.In 2007, 2008, 2009 & 2010 every year she stood first in the cultural competition of Veenkar Musical Association.

Debashree is a regular artist of AIR and Doordarshan.She is being viewed oftenly in TV Channels like Tara Music, DD Bangla, Etv Bangla, Alpha Bangla, 24 Ghonta etc. In the year 2015-2016, she had also performed in Semi Classical Group in Zee Bangla Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. She had performed in many prestigious conferences in India and abroad.Each time she had captured the audience with her mellifluous voice in her concerts in Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Austria, Holland etc. In 2006, she had the honour of participating in the Vocal Symphony & Orchestra along with Pt. Kumar Bose, Pt. Jayanta Bose, Pt.Kushal Das and Pt. Debojyoti Bose, conceived by Pt. Jayanta Bose. In the year 2018, her voice had been used in Bollywood films too. She has received rare reviews for her inimitable style of singing and has been appreciated for the vibrant hues she adds to each of her recitals.

She has been all along equally good in her academic career also and bagged Masters and B.Ed in Bengali Literature.
